Sour cabbage and dried peppers stuffed with rice and beans

minutesVery special combination between the sour cabbage, the dried peppers, the beans and the rice. For this recipe, you need a casserole for the bean preparation. A pan or sauce pan for the rice preparation and a tray for the baking.
Ingredients
8 Sour Cabbage leaves
6 Dried peppers
1 Medium Yellow onion, finely chopped
1 Medium Carrot, chopped
400 g. Bean, canned
150 g. Rice
1 tsp. Paprika
Black pepper
1 tsp. Spearmint
3 tbsp. Oil
Directions
- Start
Put the dried peppers in the cold water for 1 hour to softened. If you don’t have or don’t like dried peppers, use the fresh ones.
Chop the carrot and finely chop the onion. Take the cabbage leaves and cut the thick part at the base of the leaf. Remove the beans from the can and rinse them. - Cooking
Heat the half of the oil In the casserole. Put the half from the onion and caramelized it until softened. Add the paprika and the bean. Add and the spearmint. Cook it for 5 minutes
In the pan, heat the rest of the oil. Caramelize the rest of the onion until softened. Add the carrots and the rice. Add the black paper and 1/2 tsp. salt. Cook it until the rice becomes transparent.
When is ready, mix the rice and the bean. Take the softened peppers and fill them with the mixture. Take one from the cabbage leaf and put from the mixture in the middle. Tuck the ends and roll up.
Arrange them in the tray. Put 1 cup of water. You can sprinkle each filled cabbage with fried oil and paprika. - Finish
Heat the oven to 180 C. Bake for 15–20 minutes until water evaporates. - Serve
You can serve it as the main dish for Christmas Eve or other family holidays. You can serve as a garnish for some baked meat. On the other hand, served with yogurt is very tasty too.
