For this famous creation, you need puff pastry, blue cheese, bacon and cream cheese.
Tools you need
Muffin tray with 12 cups. The recipe quantity is enough to fill all of them.
Bowl to mix the ingredients.
Pan for the bacon baking.




Ingredients

  • 450 g. Puff pastry

  • 100 g. Bacon, sliced

  • 100 g. Blue cheese, crushed

  • 100 g. Cream cheese, chopped

  • 2 Medium eggs

Directions

  • Start
    Preheat the oven to 180 C.
    Chop the cream cheese into small cubes. Crush the blue cheese. Take the bowl and put the two types of cheese and 1 egg.
    Prepare the bacon. Put salt to taste and black pepper. I use raw bacon, but you can use the smoked one. As you prefer.
    Prepare the puff pastry and cut the sheet in quadrants. You can make 6 pieces from each sheet.

    Preheat the pan to medium. Put 1 tbsp. on it. Add the bacon. Cook it until it gets browned. After that, repeat the same on the other side. When it is ready, remove from the pan. Cut the bacon into small pieces. If the bacon is with skin, I suggest you remove it.
    Add the bacon pieces to the other ingredients and mix all.

  • Finish
    Take the muffin tray and lightly grease each cup. Put puff pastry in each cup. Press gently towards the bottom. Leave edges free.
    Take one spoon and put over each puff pastry from the mixture. Fold the edges towards the center.
    Beat the yolk from the second egg. Use a brush to glaze each puff pastry.
    Put it in the oven and bake it for 20 minutes until golden brown.

    Serve this appetizer before a main dish. Very suitable for some cocktails, brunch or whatever party.
