Mexican lavash

Easy and tasty mexican lavash (Video)

Very interesting interpretation of Mexican taco wrap with lavash. The Mexican lavash is ready for only 30 minutes and very tasty.
I used only paprika, black pepper, and salt for spices. You can use Mexican spices as a mixture or something similar. If you prefer more spicy food, you can add mild Jalapeño in the roll. I use soft yellow cheese in the recipe, but you can add cheddar or your preferred cheese type. There is ground beef in my cooking, but you can use mixed ground beef, pork or chicken.

My fast Mexican rolls with lavash replacing the standard tortilla.
For it, you will need a pan, tray, stove & an oven. 😁

Ingredients

  • 4 Lavash wraps

  • 400 gr. Ground beef

  • 100 gr. Canned sweet corn (drained)

  • 150 gr. Canned red bean (drained)

  • 1 Red onion, chopped

  • 100 gr. Tomato sauce

  • 200 gr. Fresh yellow cheese

  • 1 tbsp. Garlic butter

  • 1 tsp. Paprika

  • 1 pinch Black pepper / on taste

  • 1 pinch Salt / on taste

  • 50 ml. Olive oil

  • 100 gr. Mozzarella ( optional )

Directions

  • Start preparing main ingredients
Heat oil on medium to glaze onion until softens. Add the ground beef. Cook it for 5 to 10 minutes until the meat starts browning, (depends on the meat) while stirring.
  • Spice adding
When the meat is ready, add salt, paprika, black pepper and tomatoes. Don’t stop stirring. Leave it for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Final cooking
When the mixture is ready, add corn and bean. Cook it for another 3 minutes.
  • Finish
Take lavash and smear it with melted butter. Get 1/4 from the mixture and distribute over the lavash. Add part from the fresh cheese. Roll the lavash wrap and place in a tray. Smear each roll with garlic butter and put mozzarella on top. Heat the oven to 180 C and bake for 2 minutes.
  • Serve
You can serve with some sauces like white garlic, guacamole, tomato salsa or any other on your preference.

Notes

  • The mozzarella is an optional choice I use it for better taste on the lavash and since when it’s oven baked it became too dry, you can use eggs, butter or any other type of soft cheese for topping on it. 😋
