Ingredients
2 Eggs, medium
6 tbsp. Honey
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Oil
4 cups Flour
2 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Baking soda
1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
Directions
- Start
Preheat the oven to 180 C. Put the baking paper in the tray.
In the bowl, smash the eggs. Add the sugar and stir. Beat for a couple of minutes. Add sequentially the oil, the honey, the baking soda, the cinnamon and the nutmeg. Gradually add the flour. Make a dough. Take it out of the bowl and put it on a flat surface. Knead until you get a nice dough. It should not be sticky. If it is necessary, add more flour. - Cooking
When it is ready, take part from the dough. Roll out with the rolling pin to a thickness of 1 cm. Cut figures and put them over the paper. Leave space between them so not to stick during the baking. When you make figures, part of the dough will remain unused. Mix it and use until finished.
Bake for 10 minutes until the edges are lightly browned. Leave them cooling. Prepare the other batch for baking. Depends on the tray size, you will have 3 or 4 batches for baking. For faster, you can use 2 trays. - Finish
When they are cooled, you can put them into cooking jam or decorate them. As you prefer. - Serve
Perfect for breakfast with hot chocolate or for midday coffee. But it can’t be Christmas without these Honey biscuits.
