You need
For this amazing meal, you need three colored fussilli, cream cheese, chicken breast and yummy peas. You can use different fusilli types.
Tools you need
Saucepan for the fusilli boiling and pan for creamy chicken breast cooking.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups Fusilli pasta
1 tbsp. Butter
400 g. Chicken breast, cut into small pieces
1 Small Red Onion, chopped
1 Red Pepper, cut into strips
2 cups Sweet Green Peas, frozen
150 g. Cream cheese, softened
1 cube Chicken broth
1 Clove Garlic, finely chopped
1 tbsp. Basil
½ tsp. Salt
Black pepper
Directions
- Start
Take the saucepan and pour 1.5 l. of water on it. Place on the stove and bring to a boil.
Chop the onion. Cut the chicken breast into small pieces and the red pepper into strips.
Dissolve the broth in one cup hot water. - Cooking
Take the pan, put the butter on it, and heat to medium. When it is melted, add the onion and finely chopped garlic. Caramelize them for 3–4 minutes while stirring. Meanwhile, the water is already boiling, and add the pasta to it. Boil it as long as it is indicated on the packaging.
Add the chicken breast and salt it. Cook it for 5 minutes, or until the meat turns white on all sides. Stir periodically. Add the red pepper, frozen peas and the black pepper.
Pour the broth over the mixture in the pan. Leave the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes. Don’t forget stirring.
Pour and drain with a colander the ready pasta.
Put the softened and chopped cream cheese and the basil. Cook for 2 minutes until the cream cheese is melted. Add the pasta to the ready mixture. Stir for about a minute until the pasta is seasoned. - Finish and serve
Like all other types of pasta, serve fusilli warm. You can add some grated parmigiano or other cheese type when you serve them. Based on your preference.
The pasta is very good in combination with white wine and some desserts, of course. You can prepare one wonderful Cake Raffaello or other dessert to serve after.
