minutesDelicious dessert for apple lovers. You need only puff pastry, Mascarpone, whipping cream and apples of course.
For the preparation, you will need a large skillet for apple caramelize. A pan and backing paper for puff pastry. A bowl and mixer for the Mascarpone cream.
From one sheet of puff pastry, you will make 12 circles. Base on your preference, will get 6 or 4 pieces.
Ingredients
400 g. Puff Pastry, frozen
3 Big Red Apples
75 g. Butter
100 g. Brown Sugar
250 g. Mascarpone
200 g. Whipping Cream
100 g. Powdered sugar
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
1 Pomegranate
Directions
- Start
Unfroze the puff pastry. Leave it for 1 hour at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Put the baking paper in the pan.
Grind out the pomegranate seeds. Peel and core the apples. After that, cut them into circles. - Cooking
Bake the puff pastry for 20 minutes until golden brown. Leave cool completely. Sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
Meanwhile, in the large skillet, put the butter. Heat to medium. Add the apple slices, the brown sugar, the vanilla, the cinnamon and the nutmeg. Stir gently periodically until caramelized and tender. Cook for 10 minutes. When ready, leave them to cool.
In the bowl, put the Mascarpone. Stir with mixer. Add the powdered sugar and the whipping cream. Mix until soft and fluffy. - Finish
On a plate, put one puff pastry. After that, put the Mascarpone cream followed by the slice of apple. Repeat the same sequence. Put cream and pomegranate on the top. - Serve
Serve with coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Serve as part of family dinner or simply as Christmas dessert.
